As a little girl, I dreamed of being a Chef! One of my favorite memories is when my father purchased me a huge kitchen playset. He used to come into my room, sit at my little table, in my little chair and pretend to eat the plastic boiled eggs, hot dogs and bread that I "cooked" for him. He would eat my pretend food and act like it was the best meal ever. This made my little heart swell and fostered my dream of being a Chef at such a young age.  My father knew then that I was not only going to accomplish my dream, but be great at it as well. Soon thereafter, I was promoted from my kitchen playset to the real thing. I assisted my mother in the kitchen and would help prepare meals for the family. My mom loves to share family recipes and really enjoyed teaching me the ways of the kitchen as a young lady. Little did she know, she was preparing me for "Mama Red Cooks".

 

Mama Red Cooks was founded May of 2017 with the motivation of my husband; the pickiest eater that I know (besides our son). He will literally eat anything that I cook AND ask for seconds! He has offered the best support and encouragement.
